Hello there, I'm Emma

I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expatriate living in Zurich, Switzerland.

A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.

How It Began

Moving to Switzerland wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many relocation stories, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.

The early months were demanding — new processes, new habits, new expectations. Routine tasks felt more complex than expected.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, ambiguity, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and began building something that felt secure.

Why I Created MavexQultaRenvi

Most online information leaned either toward corporate relocation guidance or surface tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Switzerland.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site is:

  • Hands-on experience from living in Switzerland
  • Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
  • Updated whenever a real change occurs

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism-board resource
  • A promoted-review platform
  • Just another generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our time in Switzerland goes on, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Zurich or anywhere in Switzerland, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Emma
